I got into Mechatronics Engineering following my passion for Maths, Physics and my love for Robotics. I was always an A student and Engineering made sense.
While studying in the GUC, from my 1st day n campus, I started realizing that besides loving my field of study, I was more passionate about leading people and working with teams on delivering meaningful experience whether in SIFE, MUN or AIESEC. I spent my 5 uni years juggling roles, mostly commercial ones, and learning more about life than I ever did by doing so.
This is was the time I also founded one of my early successful startups, with a great partner, learning how a real partnership works.
Being a global citizen in its true sense only happens when you find yourself leading a 100+ team from more than 60 countries delivering a 10 days conference to 1000 young individuals form 120+ countries and hosting them in Egypt right after the revolution and amidst unstable conditions is one of the thing I will always super proud of.
AIESEC is where I truly understood being humble, belonging to the leadership body of the world's biggest youth organization and planning for years to come while spending a limited time in service after truly democratic voting.
My corporate journey started as early as 2014 when I entered the marketing world with the beauty giant L’Oreal where I worked as the L’Oréal Paris Skin Care & Hair Coloration Brand Manager, then became the Hair Care Brand Manager leading L'Oreal's biggest brand, Elvive.
Spending almost 3 years at L’Oreal Egypt, I've been exposed to in-depth customer journeys for thorough analysis, innovation, as well as sales, supply chain, and logistics strategies.
L&D Consulting & Training
Following my people passion, I found myself consulting at Brainquil as their “Activating Brain”, a position that enabled me to consult great organizations on how to explore and extract their human’s potential through building and delivering customized and gamified learning journeys tackling organizational objectives and changing people’s lives.
In 2 years, besides consulting I delivered 2000+ Training hours to 5000+ corporate employees mostly focussed on strength based leadership and business acumen.
Careem - bosta
Being a techy since a young age, I found myslef building and heading the Commercial and Growth Team at the region’s most celebrated ride-hailing application, then to become a super application, Careem, a role that enabled me to contribute massively to building the region’s next mass transit service “Careem BUS” building the product from scratch alongside great tigers and reaching 1 million+ downloads in less than a year then exiting to Uber.
From Careem, to a local-based startup, bosta, where I occupied the position of Commercial Director for more than a year driving the logistics company’s growth 10x to realize their dream of becoming a unicorn and successfully raising their Series B round.
And still going
Currently, investing my time in building and funding great ventures with Øpenner.vc, working alongside disruptive founders and great entrepreneurs creating game changing startups.
I love what I do so much. My freelance business is growing, and so are the clients I work with. This is the best possible thing I could have hoped for. Big and ambitious projects coming soon.
